[edit] Express Post - Australia

How long will it take to get to my location

It will take 1 full business day to get to you if you are in Melbourne's express post network. That means if it is sent on Monday you will get it on Tuesday. If it is sent on Friday, it will get to you on Monday. If you are not in the network, it is usually 1 business day extra. On public holidays, Australia post don't work. You can check Melbournes public holidays here

Do I need to be home?

Yes, we use (from Decemeber 2009 onwards) eParcel Express. If you are not home they will 'card you'. You will see a small card in your letter box. It should have the address of the post office where your item is being held. You take the card to the Post office with some identification, and pick up your product.

Usually 1~5 days, depending on how far you are from Melbourne. Below are rough guides ONLY. Aussie post may take a little longer.

  • Melbourne metro = 1~2 Business days
  • Sydney metro = 2~3 Business days
  • Hobart metro = 2~3 Business days
  • Adelaide metro = 2~3 Business days
  • Brisbane = 2~4 Business days
  • Perth metro = 3~5 Business days
  • NT = 4~6 Business days

Rural areas usually add an extra day

Can i track it?

Yeah, kinda. If we give you a number like 551133962012. You can track it after a couple of days on http://auspost.com.au/track There is NO ORIGIN SCAN - it is only scanned when it arrives in the delivery center nearest to you. So please don't type it in the day we email you, it won't come up! We use barcode scanners, so the number is never incorrect. If the number start with DUV, we have sent your item via eParcel. It takes teh same time, but eparcel has an origin scan. DUV numbers are "Consignment numbers" so you need to check that box

1 to 5 business days.

Do I need to be home?

Someone on your premise will have to sign for the item. If no one is available the DHL will try again once or twice. If you are not home again your item will be left at the depot for you to pick up. If you would like the package left at your door (at your own risk) you need to leave a note with your name, airway bill number, date, signature, and quite note telling them where to leave it.

How Do I track the item?

DHL website - Just copy and paste your tracking number here. Or just paste it in the Google search bar with 'dhl' after it, and you can automatically track it

[edit] Registered Post - International

How long will it take to get to my location

Takes anywhere from 4 to 20 or so business days. Its quite random. Sometimes we can get a parcel to the UK in 3 days, and sometimes it takes 14.

How Do I track the item?

Your product will leave here and jump on a plain to Germany (unless its going to New Zealand or asia, these package go alomost direct).

9 times out of 10, after a couple of days you will get a trace on German Posdt website

The next trace of the article will depend on the country we are sending it to. US packages appear on usps.com, canadapost.ca for canadian packages etc etc.

Registered post international is a budget service, please don't freak out if there are no traces for a while!

[edit] I think my item is lost

It is probably not, Australia post hardly lose anything - they are often misplaced though. Limited tracking is available by ringing Aussie post up on 13 13 18. Tracking is only available when the item has arrived in your delivery center. If you think it has been too long, give them a call and quote your tracking number. If the operator says 'there is no scan for this article', then it hasn't arrived in your town yet.

A common occurrence is that no one is home for registered post. The postie 'cards' you, but the card is lost with the rest of you mail. Ringing 131318 will allow the operator to let you know what post office your item is being held at.
